Corbett National Park
Corbett National Park was India's first National Park and the world’s second after Yellowstone National Park, USA. Established in 1936 by legendary tiger hunter Jim Corbett (1875-1955) made famous by his book ‘The Man-Eaters of Kumaon’. It is one of India’s finest National Parks, rich in bio-diversity and supports a large variety of habitats. Over 600 species of deer & birds, sloth bears, crocodiles, elephants, leopards and of course tigers, roam freely throughout the park.
We offer an authentic jungle experience at Camp Forktail Creek. Situated near
the village of Bhakrakot, the camp is surrounded by mixed deciduous forests, in
which wildlife and bird-life are abundant. Hikes in these forests prove very
rewarding for bird-watchers, especially when coupled with the pleasure of
sighting animals whilst on foot.
Excursions available include elephant rides, jeep safari, angling for the mighty
Mahseer on the Ramganga River, overnight or multi-day trips to Dhikala forest
rest house within the National Park, and multi-day elephant safaris.
Below is a sample three-day itinerary:
