Kayaking

India is a great kayaking destination, famous for big volume multi-day trips in remote areas, with first descents still being achieved regularly. The large number of rivers in the Indian Himalaya make it possible to run anything from mellow class II to committing class IV and V. Most of the rivers adopt the typical Himalayan style with the river class increasing with the river volume and gradient. Please contact us to discuss a kayaking trip in India, or take a look at our river expeditions at the bottom of this page.

Beginner

Never been Kayaking before? No problem, we can teach you and get you on your way to running rapids in style. On all rafting expeditions we can bring duckies (inflatable kayaks) along for people to try out. Duckies are designed for first time kayakers and are extremely stable and easy to control. We can also run a kayak school for those who want to learn hard shell kayaking and eventually run harder white-water. Please contact us for more information

Intermediate

If you have kayaked before and have white-water experience then join one of our river expeditions. Enjoy the excitement and fun of multi-day kayaking with none of the heartache. Having raft support brings luxuries such as cooks, great food, and empty kayaks, normally unknown to expedition paddlers. Paddling on big volume rivers for multiple days with an empty kayak can make all the difference between a good trip and life changing adventure. Take a look at our river expeditions to find the one that suits you or contact us for advice.

Advanced

If you are solid on Class IV and have a bomber roll then you should give multi-day kayaking a go. Contact us as you may even get an opportunity to safety kayak on a trip. If you want to run a self-contained trip yourself, contact us for free river information and advice. We can organise vehicle and raft support at a minimal price.
