Uttaranchal is epicentre of adventure sport in India with great boating, trekking, skiing, fishing and wildlife.
Northern Uttaranchal is a trekking paradise with unspoilt mountain vistas, bustling villages, pristine glaciers and flower filled valleys. The region has excellent quality white-water. The Ganges, Tons and Kali Rivers and their tributaries offer a wide range of white-water for the novice, intermediate and expert rafter or kayaker.
Further south is Corbett Tiger Reserve. Established in 1936, it is the second oldest national park in the world. This picturesque park, consisting of grassland, forest and river habitats on the edge of the Himalaya was made famous by the books and adventures of its founder, legendary British tiger hunter Jim Corbett.
